Metro One, the Southern California-based record label, was answer to prayer - the prayers of multi-Dove Award winner and Grammy-Nominated singer Crystal Lewis and her husband, best friend, and business partner - Brian Ray. Crystal and Brian dreamt of one day establishing and managing their own record label. That dream became a reality in 1992 when Metro One was created and based in Newport Beach, California. The formation of Metro One gave Crystal Lewis and Brian Ray the independence and separation from what had become the mecca of Christian Music: Nashville, Tennessee. From its early stages in the 1990's, Metro One became and continues to be the main outlet for the music of Crystal Lewis. Over the course of time, the indie label has also been home to a plethora of other talented artists such as: The Kry, Juggernautz, Fernando Ortega, rock-a-billy band The Screamin' Rays, hip-hop/rap artists The Raven, Smooth, K2S and Priesthood, heavy modern rock band Precious Death, modern worship/rock artists Dicky Ochoa, Michael Knott, Experience and Chris Lizotte. Other extremely gifted artists whose careers were jump-started by Metro One are rapper T-Bone and the hard rock band, Spoken. Fourteen years later, Metro One still continues to put out timeless music without compromising the faith that brought it this far.
